I’m still in ‘quietly and intermittently writing’ mode, but I want to be a bit more visible on tumblr again and contribute a bit more to fandom. Idk if this will matter to anyone else, but… I want to do it.
So, two things:
Thursday Updates: I’m going to make an effort to post stuff on Thursdays. This might be a ficlet or scene; a moodboard; an excerpt; a reblog of an older work; or something else entirely. We’ll see how that goes.
Update Schedule: For whatever weird reason, I really like fiddling with lists and schedules and I like looking at other people’s writing schedules, like, a weird amount. So I made one too. Absolutely no promises contained therein and it is very much itself a work in progress. But if anyone is interested, it’s here.
Also, I have a writing tag list. I can always add (or remove!! no offense taken) people from it. Just send me an ask or message!
As an added bonus for our long time The 100 fandom writers, we’ve cooked up an extra special little challenge for you! Welcome to the very first round of TROPED: VISUAL! We hope you all are as excited for this magical event as we are!! The writing period starts NOW, and will be on a rolling basis, with a moodboard dropping every ten (10) days! While the OFFICIAL writing period for round one goes for ten days, you can submit a fic based on this visual prompt above until the end of the event and it can still be included in voting! Try to include the concepts, imagery, and inspirations you get from all nine (9) photos in your fic in some way.
As a reminder, we have included a ‘mod-interpretation’ of the visual prompt, to give you some ideas for what direction we envisioned for this round, but that is just our vision! Feel free to take the prompt in any direction that feels right to you!
Mod Interpretation: If you need more direction for your fic, we have envisioned and are looking for a Potterverse Fic!! Founder’s Era to Next Generation. Crossover, Fusion, or Alternate Universe, it’s all welcome! Take the HP characters and play around, or bring your faves over from another universe, we don’t care! Neck and back are still hurting a lot but I’m…. comparatively more functional. Mostly just ignoring it?? Trying not to look down too much, which is what hurts the most. I think it’s getting better, but it’s a little upsetting that it’s such a… serious injury somehow.
I got a lot I need to do this week but the most important thing is to get some proper sleep. I can’t get anything done during the weekends if I’m so exhausted I’m basically nonfunctional, which has been the situation the last two weeks in a row. I get all backwards on Friday night and then can’t right myself. I think that’s why back hurts now, too; I was too tired and I slept without moving for too long and now I am paying for it.
So that’s the main thing. Get done what I need to do and get a good amount of sleep.
If I have free time, I’d like to do some more fic reading, and I’d also like to plan out or outline some stuff.
In particular:
Slow Summer Vibes fic: At this point, I don’t know if this is going to be anything at all, but I need to devote some real time to brainstorming for it to know for sure.
Poly Fic: I did a lot of work on the outline of this two weeks ago, but not much since then. i don’t want to lose steam on it!!
Beyond Re-Write: What’s this, a Star Trek fic on the list? Lol. I was talking about this with B when he was here (I didn’t tell him it was a fic idea, just that it was a conversation my mom and I had had) and it got me thinking about my unorganized idea document again.
I also hope (!!!) to start posting–writing, more importantly, and posting–ficlets from my celebration post this week.
….Literally can’t believe I have to work tomorrow.
